Toll-free number to keep tabs on truant teachers

Ranchi: The school education and literacy department secretary, Aradhana Patnaik, issued letters to all deputy commissioners in the state on Monday, directing them to start a a district-level toll-free number. The number will help keep a tab on absenteeism among teachers of government schools, thereny allowing the department to take action against truant teachers.tnn
