Launched: Tamil translation of 'My Experiments With Truth'

Coimbatore: Actor Kamal Haasan was in the city to launch the book 'Sathya Sodhanai' written by local author Aandal Priyadarshini. The book, a translation of M K Gandhi's 'My Experiments With Truth' is the author's fifth book.
Aandal said she has always been influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and had worked closely with poet, Puviarasu. Everyone should read the book she said, especially youngsters, as it is not about a personality but about life in general.The book is published by Sapna Book House in the city.
Actor Kamal Haasan, who has a keen interest in Mahatma Gandhi and his life, said that while writing the script for the movie 'Hey Ram', they had another story in mind. But when they began researching on Gandhi and went through every material written about him, he decided to change the story. "I realised that Gandhi was not a man but a symbol. Every time I thought I knew the man, I would learn something new about him from various authors," said Kamal.
