Student hurt in WhatsApp brawl critical

The 21-year-old student of MES Abasaheb Garware College, who was brutally beaten by his collegemates is critical. Akshay Ganesh Dinkar is undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in the city.

Pune: The 21-year-old student of MES Abasaheb Garware College, who was brutally beaten by his collegemates is critical. Akshay Ganesh Dinkar is undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in the city.
Dinkar, a resident of Dhayari, was assaulted after an argument on the social media platform, WhatsApp. The police arrested five students and booked 16 others, all BBA students, for attempting to kill Dinkar.
According to Deccan Gymkhana police, the third-year BBA student is still unconscious and undergoing treatment at a private hospital on Karve road.

Police had arrested Harshad Chougule (24) of Sukhsagarnagar, Shubham Gangurde (21) of Ambegaon Pathar, Rohan Petkar (24) of Balajinagar, Aniruddha Bhalerao (24) of Dhankawadi, and Sumeet Batange (21) of Khilarewadi, off Karve road.
