Protesters will be penalized for damaging property

Bengaluru: Home minister G Parameshwara on Monday said protesters at last week's garment workers' rally, who have been caught on camera damaging public property, will be penalized.
"We have captured images of those who destroyed public property. They will be punished. If you are destroying the institutions that help you then you are not doing the right thing," he pointed out.
The minister stressed that women won't be dealt with harshly, but if the government finds videos of them destroying public property, then they too will be prosecuted.
