'Congress policies always pro-poor'

Allahabad: A Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former Union minister Anil Shastri claimed on Monday that Congress had always launched policies to benefit poor people.
He added that it was Congress that brought Food Security Act, Adhaar card, MANREGA, right to information, right to education, crop guarantee plan and other schemes for the betterment of common man.
Shastri was addressing an 'awareness campaign' at Bamrauli gram sabha. He said that Congress has worked for poor, Dalits and minorities and for the betterment of all sections of society. tnn
