This tragedy has taken the South industry by shock.

Something is seriously wrong in the Malayalam film industry as those who are part of Mollywood are dropping like flies. Recently, it was the mysterious death of Kalabhavan Mani that had everyone very grief stricken. Now, another loss has struck Malayalam cinema, what's more saddening is that, it's a case of suicide. Producer Ajay Krishnan, who produced the film, Avarude Ravukal, took his own life on Saturday. He committed suicide at his home, when his parents Radhakrishnan Pillai and Jayakumari were present. But wait till you hear the strange reason the producer took such an extreme step. Apparently, Ajay was in a deep financial crisis. This film, Avarude Ravukal, was everything for him as he had invested over Rs 4 crores for the film. Krishnan was really anxious for the success of the film. But, after he saw the preview of the film, he was so dejected by the result that he sought to end his life.As sad as this incident is, we wonder if there were other reasons that drove the producer to take such a drastic step. Avarude Ravukal stars Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan, Aju Varghese, Vinay Fort, Honey Rose and Lena. Shanil Muhammad is the director of this film, who had collaborated on films like Phillips and Monkey Pen. Also Read - Salaar: This actor is Prabhas' Real-life Vardharaja, Can you guess who?

Ajay had also played several small roles in movies and television shows, most notably, Prithviraj starrer Memories.
