Paresh Rawal says 'sorry' to Kejriwal for violating odd-even scheme
New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) Calling it a 'serious blunder,' noted actor and BJP MP Paresh Rawal today apologised to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhiites for not following odd-even pollution control scheme. Paresh was also fined for driving an 'even' numbered car on odd date to reach Parliament that resumed this morning, as he himself posted a picture of challan's copy on Twitter. '' Made a serious blunder…..Sorry to Arvind ji n Delhiite,'' the BJP MP tweeted. The Delhi government had also announced a special DTC bus service for MPs to reach Parliament and appealed to them to follow odd-even scheme. However, the special bus service didn’t find many takers as only two BJP MPs— Ranjan Bhatt and Hari Om Singh Rathore-- availed it. The Delhi Government had started the second phase of its ambitious odd-even car driving scheme with the aim of curbing rising pollution and reducing traffic congestion in the national capital on April 15. Under the scheme, odd-numbered cars are allowed on roads only on odd dates and vice-versa. UNI RG AE/RSA 1524
