It's unclear when a hotfix to address it is coming

With the arrival of the new April update for Destiny, the game received a wide range of content and some gameplay tweaks, but it seems that the unforeseen consequence is that the social shooter has also developed some new glitches that the development team at Bungie will have to deal with.

On Reddit, a veteran player of the title has posted a description and video showing a game breaking glitch in action, which allows players to stack as many kills as they want, remaining in action until they are finally killed, which entirely transforms the game experience and breaks all the core quests.

It seems that at the moment a small number of gamers are using this new Destiny glitch, but it could have a big effect on the game and the community associated with it if a big group starts to abuse it to gain a competitive advantage.

A representative from Bungie has commented on the Reddit thread to say that the company is aware of the problem and is aiming to find its cause and eliminate it, although it has not offered any details about the time needed until a hotfix or patch is deployed.

It's also entirely possible that the company will try to find a way to punish those who have used the glitch once it finds a way to deal with it.

Destiny might get another expansion on September 20

A new edition of Iron Banner is coming to the social shooter on April 26 and gamers will be able to get access to an entirely new set of rewards that are in line with the content delivered in the April update, with gamers able to try and secure them for a week.

The development team has also suggested that it will focus on balancing the game and on dealing with other bugs for a while before it starts talking once again about the future of Destiny.

There are hints that the major paid expansion for the title to be offered this year is set to arrive on September 20 and that it will probably include a wide range of new content, including another big raid to keep fans engaged with the social shooter all through the winter.

Activision and Bungie have already said that they are working on a full sequel for Destiny that is supposed to launch next year on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.
