4 arrested for murder of Cong leader
Chandigarh: Police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Congress leader Ashok Kaka . Among the arrested four are two brothers, who are cousins of Kaka. The accused were arrested from Rohtak district on Saturday night. Police are now on the lookout for a property dealer and a minor boy who works for him, said IG Rohtak range Sanjay Kumar.

Kaka, a close aide of former Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda, was shot in the Model Town area of Rohtak when he was taking a morning walk on Friday. According to police, a dispute over some ancestral property in Rohtak was the motive behind the crime. Kaka's cousins and brothers, identified as Manoj and Sanjay Soni, have been nabbed and booked for murder conspiracy, police said. Both hail from Rewari and are into business of electrical goods. The other two arrested for their role in the crime are Sandeep Kumar and Rohit Morwal, both 19 years of age and residents of Rohtak, police said. A third boy, who is a minor and works for one Sunil Kumar, a property dealer, is absconding. Sunil had bought a property, over which Kaka had a dispute with his cousins, from Soni brothers.
Rohtak SSP Shashank Anand said Kaka and the accused were fighting a legal battle over the ownership of 1,146 square yard plot in Rohtak city. "In January, police had sealed that property as the dispute between the two parties had turned violent. Later, the Soni brothers secretly sold off the property to Sunil, a realtor, and his partners, telling them to make the payment after they got (property's) possession from Kaka," the SSP added. All three teenaged boys work for Sunil, who is also into money lending business, and are school dropouts. Attributing the success of solving the case to SIT, headed by DSP (headquarters) Vijender Singh and his team, Rohtak IG Sanjay Kumar said, "We have also recovered the weapons used by the two boys in committing the crime. Besides CCTV footage of the spot and surrounding areas, technical investigations too helped ."
