Singh Sabha seeks ‘truth panel’ on Op Bluestar

CHANDIGARH:Kendri Sri Guru Singh Sabha today demanded that a truth commission should be constituted on the attack on Darbar Sahib during Operation Bluestar in June 1984.

Kendri Sri Guru Singh Sabha today demanded that a truth commission should be constituted on the attack on Darbar Sahib during Operation Bluestar in June 1984.

Gurpreet Singh of Kendri Sri Guru Singh Sabha said the sabha supported BJP leader Subramanian Swamy’s appeal to the government to institute a committee to investigate the sequence of events leading to the operation and the state repression that followed for nearly a decade. 

In a separate press release, Union Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal today held the Congress responsible for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. She said the files related to Operation Bluestar should be made public.
