Samiti: Upgrade Safidon, not Gohana, as district

The samiti handed a memorandum to the district administration on Friday demanding creation of Safidon, instead, as a district. It also gave a 15-day ultimatum to the state government for making its stand clear on the issue.

Karambir Saini, state president, Haryana Bachao Sangarsh Samiti said Safidon had better facilities and became a tehsil much earlier than Gohana. Therefore, the state government should add Gohana and Baroda in Safidon tehsil and upgrade it as a district, he added.   — OC
