New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Facing ''crisis of face'' in the Hindi heartland of Uttar Pradesh, the ruling BJP today said it was certainly going to give a ''good news'' before the Assembly elections early next year and asserted that the four-cornered contest in the state was going in its favour.
''Though there has been no discussion on the chief ministerial candidate in the party so far but soon you will hear the good news,'' senior BJP leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said when asked about the party’s lack of any leader with mass appeal, and its level of preparations for the assembly elections in the most populous state of the country which are being seen as a semi-final for the Modi government before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Uttar Pradesh sends the highest number of 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha and thus plays a crucial role in the formation of any government at the Centre.
