Kozhikode: Teachers and the students of Kozhikode Government Medical College are on a mission to revive the once 'vibrant' campus. They want to bring back the good old days when dramas were staged in front of a jam-packed audience.
The medical college students' union will stage a three-day drama programme in the open air auditorium on May 23, 24 and 25 respectively.

Thrikaripur-based KMK Kalasamithi will stage the theatre adaptation of O V Vijayan's novel 'Khasakkinte Ithihasam'.
One show each of three-and-a-half hours will be staged on all the three days.
Welcoming the move, Dr M Muraleedharan, IMA state media cell convener, who was in the 23rd batch of the Kozhikode Govt Medical College said the campus was vibrant during those days. "Film festival, musical drama of Malayalam poets and students staging dramas were common those days,'' he said.
T Jayakrishnan, associate professor, department of community medicine, one of the organizing committee member of the programme said that the move aims to restore the old trend. "The students union expressed eagerness to conduct the programme hence the decision was taken,'' said Jayakrishnan.
