Bus hits LLR wall, disrupts traffic

Kanpur: Traffic came to a standstill for about an hour when a bus lost control and rammed into the wall of Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital and blocked the road on Saturday. Traffic movement was blocked between Motijheel gate and medical college bridge.
Long queues of vehicles formed within no time. People trapped in the jam in the afternoon kept on honking horns and made the situation miserable.The worst suffers were schoolchildren, who were trapped in buses.
The Swarup Nagar police arrested the driver who lost control over the bus. He said that while taking a sharp turn at postmortem house crossing, all of a sudden brakes failed and the bus smashed against the hospital wall.
A motorcycle skid during the accident but the motorcyclist escaped unhurt. No one got injured during the accident.
