Ahmedabad: The city police's bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) attended to two hoax calls on Saturday. In first instance, a caller had informed a car showroom about a bomb on its premises while in the second, residents of a society found a tiffin box but which had an electronic music instrument in it. According to city police officials, the control room got a call at 12.30 pm about a bomb scare at a car showroom on SG Road.
The caller said that the showroom's landline received a call about a bomb planted which could go off at any time. After the call, all cars were shifted out and a thorough check was conducted but nothing was found. In another instance, residents at Vrajbhoomi Apartment opposite CN Vidyalaya informed police about an unclaimed tiffin box from which an electronic device was found. A BDDS team led by R D Yadav prised apart the device but it turned out to be a musical instrument.
