The Commissioner’s Task Force (West) team on Saturday caught a notorious burglar Galanki Ram Babu (30) alias Gali Ram, who was involved in several house burglaries and vehicle-lifting cases.
The police recovered a Swift Dzire, one Fiat Punto and 7.2 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs. 19 lakh.
The accused used to break into houses by unbolting the door while the occupants in the house were asleep and make away with the property.
In two cases, he also drove away with the cars kept out of the houses, DCP Task Force, B. Limba Reddy said.
