Truck crushes three to death in Manaknagar

Lucknow: Three men on a motorcycle died on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday after being hit by a DCM truck, in Manaknagar. The three men were identified as Sanjay Kumar (21), Rohit (22) and Tej Pratap Singh (23) and were heading towards Buddheshwar crossing.
The three were not wearing helmets and the motorcycle was not registered. During the accident a truck, trying to overtake another motor vehicle, rammed the motorcycle head on.
The bike got stuck under the truck and the three men were dragged for 15 to 20 metres. Singh died within a few minutes, while Sanjay and Rohit died on their way to the hospital
The driver escaped from the spot along with the truck. The police has registered a case against the unidentified truck driver. The police found out the motorcycle belonged to Tej's family and said that the three were heading to meet a friend.
