Bruce Lee? Not so much...

Narayan of Uppu Karuvaadu fame wants to experiment with different types of roles.

Narayan, of Payanam fame, is happy with the way how is career graph is progressing. “I think I have come a long way since my debut Inidhu Inidhu. After films like OK OK, Samar and Boologam, I have been steadily getting many offers,” he says, quickly adding he’s looking forward to his role in Aari-starrer Unnodu Ka.

“I play a guy called Bruce Lee in the film. He is a funny guy and the heroine falls in love with him because she assumes he can fight like Bruce Lee in reality. The story takes an interesting turn when realises that it’s not so!” he tells us.

Irrespective of the role, Narayan says he has always wanted to choose good characters. “I am a movie buff and my passion for movies were triggered by my grandmother. She had loads of MGR and Sivaji Ganesan classics, which I grew up watching. Films are my passion and I am trying to be selective as much as possible. I don’t bother about recognition because I act for my satisfaction. Like the ones played by Prakash Raj and Raghuvaran for instance — both of them bring in variation in roles,” he says.

The actor is not waiting for any dream role to come his way. “There’s no dream role, there are just roles. It’s like anything that challenges me, which I haven’t done before. Also I believe that I have a great sense of humour and hopefully a good timing as well,” he concludes.
