A robbery suspect was killed in a shootout with police on Kala Khatai Road on Saturday.
A police spokesman said a Ferozewala police team had signalled three men on a motorbike to stop for a search at a picket. He said the men had shot at the police team in a bid to escape.
He said when the policemen returned fire, one of them was killed. He said his accomplices managed to flee. Separately, residents of a village near Gujranwala Road apprehended two robbers.
