Lucknow girl, Pankhuri Gidwani, the 2nd runner-up of the fbb Femina Miss India 2016, met the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, at his Kalidas Marg residence on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
During the meeting, Akhilesh was joined in by wife, Dimple, and daughter Tina, congratulating the Lucknow girl for doing the city proud.
When asked about Pankhuri's victory, the CM said, "Pankhuri has made the city proud and we are happy on her win." He also lauded Pankhuri for her hard work and determination to win the crown and said that only Pankhuri knows the struggles and hard work that she has put in for the competition so we must congratulate her.
He also mentioned that he would be happy for Pankhuri to be associated with any of the women-centric schemes that the UP government is running.
Later the tech-savvy CM went on to tweet about his meeting with Pankhuri.
