CMIA urges Mah Govt to hold special review meet on tackling water scarcity

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 23 (UNI) In view of the scarcity of water supply to industries located in Aurangabad-Jalna belt, the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) today appealed to state government to hold a special review meeting and workout a long-term solution for the existing industries as well as upcoming ones, proposed to come up in the near future at Shendra-Bidkin Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
A statement issued by CMIA said here that a delegation of its members, consisting of Ashish Garde, Prasad Kokil, Umesh Dashrathi and Milind Kank, had a brief discussion with Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, who was in the city to attend a review meet on drought in Aurangabad.
The delegation requested Mr Mahajan and through him, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Industries Minister, to arrange a high-level review meeting of all the concerned officers connected with the supply of water to industries from Jaikwadi dam.
