IPL protest: 4 barge into SCA stadium
Rajkot: Four dalit youths on Friday barged into the the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) cricket stadium in Khandheri to lodge their protests against the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
However, before they could do damage to pitch, SCA's security staff and State Reserve Police (SRP) men managed to push them out. SCA officials then informed the police about the incident.

"Four youths had entered the cricket ground of the SCA. However, they did not possess any such tools that could damage the pitch and they were evicted immediately," said R I Desai, police Inspector, Special Operation Group, Rajkot( rural) police.
Desai added that security has been beefed up near the stadium after the incident.
Sources said that youths were supporters of former BJP MLA Siddharth Parmar, who is protesting against the IPL's matches being played despite drought-like situation in Rajkot.
