Nellore: TTD Trust Board chairman Ch. Krishnamurthy said that the ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodandarama Swamy at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district would become one of the most sought after pilgrim centres after Tirumala soon.
Speaking to media persons in Sri Padmavathi Rest House, Tirupati, on Friday evening after the successful celebrations of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta on April 20, he said elaborate arrangements had been made by TTD in co-ordination with district administration for the mega religious wedding in the sprawling 70 acre at Vontimitta.
"Apart from the police and TTD vigilance, we also deployed scouts, guides and Srivari Seva volunteers for crowd management and they offered excellent services to devotees for trouble free darshan," he added. Further, he said the stage was erected and large number of galleries was also set up providing seating capacity to over 75,000 devotees.
“Apart from this, TTD also arranged 150 counters for distribution of prasadam to the devotees. Over seven lakh water sachets, two lakh butter milk sachets and over two lakh packets of "Mutyala Talambralu" had also been distributed to all the devotees.
The floral and electrical decorations remained the highlight of the festival. With the live telecast of the programme on SVBC, even the devotees across the world also cherished the event,” the TTD chairman maintained. Later, the chairman complimented TTD, district administration of YSR Kadapa, police, Srivari Sevakulu, media and the local public for the success of the event.
