The MFA honors Prince by installing a striking photograph
Another Boston institution pays homage to the late artist.
Between the purple lights over Zakim Bridge and the organ renditions of his music at Fenway, Boston has found small but meaningful ways to celebrate the life of Prince in the wake of his passing on Thursday.
Museum of Fine Arts has joined in honoring Prince as well. Yesterday, upon news of his passing, the organization tweeted this:
Doves everywhere are crying. RIP Prince. pic.twitter.com/G8f75Hhqwr

On Friday morning, the Prince love continued, as the museum installed Herb Ritts’ 1991 photo “Prince (Hat with Chains)” in the Sharf Visitor Center. The label copy for the photo includes lines from the musician’s 1984 hit “Let’s Go Crazy,” and has a “recent acquisition” tag in a special purple font.
