Obama seen using Hiroshima trip to push for stable Asia

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Barack Obama will call for Asian stability in addition to nuclear disarmament when he visits Hiroshima this May, a gesture he hopes will ease grievances from countries that suffered Japan's wartime aggression.

Washington and Tokyo are preparing for Obama to swing by the city May 27, the final day of the Group of Seven summit in Japan. He would be the first sitting American president to visit the city, which suffered a U.S. atomic bombing in August 1945.
