Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100thmovie "Gautamiputra Satakarni" is being launched at an event in Hyderabad at 10.30 a.m. on Friday. Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), megastar Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and other celebrities are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony.

"Gautamiputra Satakarni" is said to be a landmark film, which has been creating lot of buzz in the industry for a long time. The movie has already gained a lot of publicity for issues like the story, director and the heroine. Names of several big directors were linked with this project, but Balakrishna has roped in Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi to helm it.

"Gautamiputra Satakarni" is a historical film, based on the life history of the 2nd century Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni. Director Krish himself has written the story and screenplay for the film, while Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues. The movie is produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Y Rajeev Reddy under the banner, First Frame Entertainment.

Since it is his 100th film, Nandamuri Balakrishna has made a careful selection of every aspect related to this prestigious project. Actress Kajal Aggarwal has been cast as the female lead opposite actor Balayya. Devi Sri Prasad is on board to compose the music for the soundtracks and background score.

"Gautamiputra Satakarni" is officially going on the floors from today and the producers have made grand arrangements for its opening ceremony, which will be attended by many celebrities. Balakrishna and director Krish have invited Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the event. A photo featuring them at his office had created lot of buzz in the media on Thursday.
