Youth Engagement and Skill development seminar Was today held in Pattan in which Hundreds of youths and Businessman Participated in skill awareness Camp held in Hyderbeigh Area of Baramulla District.The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Widdipura as part of its re-energised and meaningful humane efforts to uplift Socio-economic conditions of Awaam has organised a path breaking seminar in coordination with Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and J&K Bank to facilitate skill development and financial opportunity, to obtain lifelong skills to become self dependant.

The Seminar was organized, at Zorawar Auditorium at RR Sector Headquarters at Hyderbeig by 29RR. This is a pioneer project taken up by Army with the aim of uplifting the unemployed youth especially the under graduates and that particular section of the society which has got alienated with the mainstream activities due to lack of education and weak economic conditions. JKEDI with its ventures on Entrepreneurship through skill developments aims to the eradicate the curse of unemployment so that People of age group 18 to 37 years and with minimum education qualification of 8th pass onwards, earn their livelihood with honour & dignity, only to pursue their dreams of bright a future.

Md Numan, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI & his team from Baramulla in an interactive session educated the huge gathering of over 600 eager and enthusiastic youth and men about the various schemes offered by the government through their institute. Journalists of The Local area also participated in the event. Mr Maqsood Mir, Area Manager, J&K Gramin Bank, Hyderbeigh  & Mr Tariq Ali of J&K Bank  informed the gathering on the wide array of start up loans available to start small businesses ventures without any guarantee or mortgage. Commander, Haiderbeig Sector RR, Chief Guest on the occasion highlighted that Army is now emphasising efforts which not only provides just skill development training but ultimately result in carrying employments opportunities to the under privilege the true need, the untiring efforts were made to bridge the government agencies and needy Awaam. Free medical aid was provided to all the audience after the seminar.The locals hailed these maiden efforts by Army, which will result in not only acquiring life time skill development but will enable them much needed jobs & employment. This is an effective tool to transform the so far ailing Kashmiri society and enthuse a new ray of hope for the under privileged.
