FAISALABAD: The industrialists have expressed concern over the four-day gas closure to local textile industry.
Rana Arif Tauseef, Chairman Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) in a statement issued here on Wednesday that SNGPL authorities and the government had assured them that 3-day gas closure in a week would be observed for local industry but the SNGPL did not honor this promise and issued 4-day gas shedding schedule.
He said that gas administrators had promised to revolve the gas load-shedding, three-day a week and the industrialists and exporters had accordingly scheduled their production and made commitments with foreign buyers to ship consignments on time.
He demanded that government should ensure supply of gas to industries to save the local industry from a total collapse.
