Fire at Ankleshwar GIDC factory

Surat: Solvent in huge quantity was destroyed in a fire that broke out in JN Chemicals in Ankleshwar GIDC on Thursday. Factory owner Sanjiv Gupta sustained minor burn injuries in the fire that erupted at around 4.30pm on Thursday.
At least 15 fire tenders from Ankleshwar, Panoli, Kosamba, Bharuch and Jagadia took four hours to bring the fire under control.
AV Shah, regional officer in Ankleshwar of Gujarat Pollution Control Board, said, "The fire spread due to solvent in the factory. However, there was no loss of life in the accident. We are investigating the cause of the fire."
