Catering to the growing demand, the railways has decided to make Kathgodam Shatabdi Express a daily service from May 5 for the convenience of passengers.

It has been decided to increase the frequency of New Delhi-Kathgodam-New Delhi Shatabdi Express from six days a week to daily from May 5, a senior Northern Railway official said.

With the Kathgodam Shatabdi becoming a daily train, the special weekly service between New Delhi and Kathgodam every Thursday will no longer be operational from May 5.

Besides, an additional stoppage of the New Delhi-Ajmer- New Delhi Shatabdi Express at Bandikui station has been added on experimental basis for a period of six months from April 22.

The New Delhi-Ajmer Shatabdi Express is scheduled to reach Bandikui station at 9.23 A.M., while on its return journey it will arrive at Bandikui station at 6.58 P.M. with a two-minute stoppage in both the directions, the official said. PTI
