SC pulls up authorities for not starting air services to Shimla

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the competent authorities to inform it by May 4, on whether air services to Shimla would be launched or not and also indicated that if there was any negative answer from them, then it would pass an order against those responsible for not doing the same.
An apex court division bench, headed by Chief Justice (CJI) Tirath Singh Thakur and also comprising Justice R Bhanumathi, said, "If 'no' is the categorical answer, we will pass an order against those responsible for this."
The division bench also directed the competent authorities, including the Civil Aviation Ministry, to place the copy of direction issued by them before the bench and fixed the matter for further hearing till May 4.
