Gurgaon: The assistant librarian who committed suicide in his official quarters at the MDI campus on Monday, had slit his wrists before hanging himself by the fan, the police investigation has revealed.
According to the suicide note found in Sanskriti apartment, where Bharat Kumar Dabas (40) was staying with his wife and two sons, he had been extremely disturbed by a difficult relationship with his wife and her interfering parents.
He smothered his two sons — Abhinav (8) and Arjun (5) — before slitting his wrists and hanging himself.
His wife Sheetal was at work when he took the extreme step. She has been booked for abetment to suicide, though her statement is yet to be recorded yet as she is unconscious. "We'll record Sheetal's statement once her condition stabilises," said an investigating officer.
