Will sail with Jagan, says Salur MLA

April 21, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:51 am IST - VIZIANAGARAM:

Scotching rumours, Salur YSR Congress MLA P. Rajanna Dora has made it clear that he will, as per party cadres’ wish, continue to sail with party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

Talking to reporters at the party office here on Wednesday, he said that though he was “very close” to Bobbili MLA R.V. Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao and joined the YSRC at his instance, he would not fall prey to TDP’s “operation akarsh.”

He criticised the TDP for luring the opposition party’s MLAs with plum posts with an intention to wipe out the opposition.

At a separate press conference, the party State youth wing general secretary, Satrucherla Parikshit Raju, nephew of former Minister Satrucherla Vijaya Rama Raju, described the crossing over of Mr. Sujaya Krishna to the TDP as a “hasty step” because the people, who were disillusioned by the ruling party, began favouring the YSRC.

Exuding confidence that the voters of Kurupam (ST) Assembly constituency would rally behind the Satrucherla family in future too, Mr. Parikshit said that the groups within the party in the district would surely join hands to make Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy Chief Minister in 2019.

The party district youth wing president, S. Bangaru Naidu, and students’ wing president M.L.N. Raju were present.
