One more held in gang rape

Nagpur: The MIDC police has arrested another accused Harshal Meshram, 20, a resident of Kalkuhi in the 17-year-old minor gang rape case. A minor girl was abducted, drugged and raped at Isasani in MIDC police station area on Monday evening. MIDC Police had already arrested three accused identified Rakesh Patel, Mohan Verma and Aakash Dupare. All three were produced in the district court on Wednesday.They have been granted police custody till April 24.
Police informed that Meshram, who is a driver by profession, helped Patel to take the victim back home after she fell unconscious. Police said that Patel had planned the abduction and rape a few days back. As per the plan, he abducted the minor and took her to Isasani with the other two. After raping the minor girl, Patel called Meshram to take the girl back home. Police said that the minor and her relatives knew Meshram.
