2 students commit suicide in separate incidents

Two students ended their lives in separate incidents here on Wednesday.B.Tech first year student, Dinesh, 19, of Holy Mary Engineering College in Keesara, was found hanging from a tree inside the college premises. The students who saw him immediately alerted the management.

Hyderabad: Two students ended their lives in separate incidents here on Wednesday.
B.Tech first year student, Dinesh, 19, of Holy Mary Engineering College in Keesara, was found hanging from a tree inside the college premises. The students who saw him immediately alerted the management.
Dinesh, who hails from Adilabad, left the campus hostel at 3 pm on Tuesday and was not seen since then.
According to police, at 5 pm, Dinesh sent a text message to his classmate Srikar asking him not to call or send any messages till Wednesday. "A little while later, Dinesh sent a second message to Srikar asking him to call his father after 9 pm and inform him to come to college on Wednesday," Keesara inspector P Guruva Reddy said.
Dinesh's father Bal Reddy is a farmer. No suicide note has been found. Police are talking to his friends and family members to find out the possible reasons for the student's suicide.
In another incident, Intermediate first year student, G Sreeja, 16, of Sri Gayatri College in Dilsukhnagar, committed suicide fearing she might not score well in the public exam.
At 6 am, Sreeja jumped from the balcony of her fourth floor flat in Janapriya Apartment at Brindavan Colony in Saroornagar. Family members rushed her to a nearby corporate hospital, where she succumbed while undergoing treatment.
"We found the suicide note on the victim. Sreeja said that she decided to end her life as she did not perform well in the intermediate first year public exam," Saroornagar inspector S Lingaiah said.
Police have registered suspicious death cases under section 174 of CrPC in both the incidents. The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination.
