26-yr-old woman shot by bikers in Dwarka

New Delhi: A 26-year-old woman was shot dead by two men on a motorbike when she was going to Dwarka with her husband on Tuesday. Police suspect personal rivalry as murder motive.
The incident occurred around 5pm when Monika was admitted to a private hospital by her husband Lalit Kumar with a gunshot wound. The bullet had hit her temple and she was in a critical condition.
Kumar, who owns a real-estate business at Dhanwapur near Gurgaon, told police that they were going to Chhawla to meet a relative when two men on a bike started following their SUV.
Kumar slowed down near a canal and the bikers overtook him and blocked the way. One of them pulled out a pistol, walked up to the car and fired twice at Monika. When Kumar resisted, they fled.
Monika succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
