It's official: Amala to make Kannada debut with Sudeep
After much speculation, Hebbuli director S Krishna has confirmed that Amala Paul will be paired opposite Sudeep in the movie. 'It is time to put an end to the rumours doing the rounds. Amala Paul will be the female lead with Sudeep (in Hebbuli),' the director told Mirror. 'Everything about the star cast t has been finalised. However, there has been a delay in the shooting. Our hero was also busy with other projects.
Now, we are planning to start our project in the first week of May. We planned to complete the first part of the shooting for Sudeep and Ravichendran. Amala will be in the second portion of the shooting,' Krishna said.
Amala made her debut as an actor from Neelathamara in Malayalam in 2009 and stole the limelight after topping the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu box offices. Despite her busy schedule, Amala is known for taking a stand on socio-political issues in the social media.
Hebbuli is written and directed by Krishna. Sudeep and Ravichendran have previously teamed up as father-son in Maanikya, the official remake of Telugu-hit Mirchi. Now, director Krishna is all set to bring the actors back on screen of Hebbuli in which they will play brothers.
Earlier, the crew planned to shoot in Kashmir. But that got cancelled and now the shooting will take place in Bengaluru and Mysuru. According to sources, the final schedule will be in Kashmir.
