Nashik: The Mumbai Naka police on Tuesday arrested four persons, including Akash Sable, the son of corporator Sanjay Sable, in connection with rioting, unlawful assembly with deadly weapons, attempt to murder, breaching peace under the Arms Act.
The trio had been absconding for the past four months after allegedly committing the crimes.
According to a compliant filed on January 1, Sable, Rajesh Rathod, Santosh Khandekar and Rahul Sonje, accompanied by a group of workers, razed as many as 35 houses in the Bharatnagar area of Indiranagar on January 1 with the help of an earthmover.

Assistant commissioner of police (division II) Raju Bhujbal said the four accused, who were on the run since they were booked three months ago, travelled to Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Tirupati Balaji, Kolhapur, Goa and Ajmer.
"A tip-off was received about their whereabouts in Igatpuri taluka about 40km from Nashik. A team was sent to trap the accused. They will be produced before the court on Wednesday," he added. tnn
