Shimla, April 19

“Whenever the cases of corruption of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh are highlighted, he starts accusing others to divert the attention of the public”, said former Chief Minister and senior BJP leaders PK Dhumal

In a statement issued here today, Dhumal said that Singh should not brag about his ancestral property as selling of land in 1974 speaks volume of his financial condition. Accusing the Chief Minister of resorting to mudslinging, he said that he had no problem if the CBI or any other investigating agency investigated his properties but referring to the properties of his relatives was not appropriate.

He said that getting his properties investigated on the basis of a false complaint to tarnish his image would not help. That there was a conspiracy behind investigation of the Vigilance can be gauged from the fact that he has not been provided the copy of the complaint till day.

“Singh is in the habit of declaring the result of investigation even before it has started and his views on Dharamsala rape case, attack on BJP office are visible examples”, he added.

State BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti said that the Chief Minister had wasted three years in hatching conspiracies against his opponents due to which the development of the state had come to a standstill. Singh has been frequently visiting Delhi for his corruption cases but could not get any developmental scheme for the state.
