Allahabad: "Students go to universities to study and not to stand in queue over issues like examination, library etc," said Governor Ram Naik while emphasising on total transparency in the university system and enhancing university management system (USM).
He was speaking on the inaugural day of the two-day seminar at Uttar Pradesh Rajashri Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) on Tuesday.

He said he will convene a meeting of all the vice chancellors and registrars of the state universities for developing a UMS. He also shared his views on skill-based courses and digitalization. The governor said that each university should frame a UMS which should help in quick flow of data transmission and bring transparency in the work.
He said answer sheets should be online after evaluation so that students see their progress for themselves. This will brings transparency in the system. He highlighted that admission, education (teaching), examination, declaration of result, all these activities should be done on time.
The governor also laid the foundation and performed bhumi pujan of the UPRTOU regional center and residential campus at sector B of Shantipuram, Phaphamau. The new campus will be named Yamuna Parisar.
