Vijay Gopalan joins UDS Facilities Services as CEO

CHENNAI: The former chief financial officer of AirAsia India, Vijay Gopalan, has joined Updater Services Limited (UDS), an integrated facilities management and business support services company, as its new chief executive officer.
A chartered accountant with over 16 years of experience, Gopalan will be responsible to charter an accelerated growth path for UDS in the country.He will help grow the business strategically through adding new service lines and diversification.
Prior to joining UDS, Gopalan had served as the CFO at AirAsia India. He was one of the youngest aviation CFOs, and he successfully managed the financial operations of the company for two years.
Before joining AirAsia India, Gopalan had served as finance controller for the India operations of the Compass Group, a fortune 500 and a FTSE 100 company.
Vijay started his career with Ernst & Young and had worked with them for eight years.
