FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has put together his "Grade A" three-round mock draft, which gives us a chance to delve deeper into the New England Patriots' top four selections -- two second-rounders (60 and 61) and two third-rounders (91 and 96).

Kiper hits at four of the team's top five need areas -- defensive tackle, receiver, running back and cornerback.

In this scenario, a developmental swing offensive tackle -- which is another top need -- would have to be addressed in the later rounds.

From a pure coincidence standpoint, and with a lighthearted touch, what are the chances that the Patriots would select Mississippi State's Chris Jones to help fill the void created by the departure of Bowling Green's Chris Jones?

Jones of Mississippi State has some physical traits that would fit the New England profile; he's big (6 feet, 5 3/4 inches tall and 310 pounds) and has a 34.5-inch arm length and plays with heavy hands. Considered an underachiever by some, he is athletic and has scheme versatility.

In the third round, the feeling from here is that the Patriots would be thrilled if Utah running back Devontae Booker was still on the board at No. 91, as Kiper has him going to New England there. Booker's fit in New England was previously explored in this space.
