Janatha Garage to be a Malayali reunion?
Telugu movie Janatha Garage's first schedule brought together the popular sibling duo of the 80s ' Mohanlal and Rahman. The next round of filming, which concluded early this month, turned out to be an even bigger reunion as the film has a host of Malayali stars.
A source close to the project says, 'The second schedule canned scenes with Mohanlal and Unni Mukundan. Also Nithya Menen, Devayani and Sithara joined the sets.'
Interestingly, both Nithya and Sithara made their debut along with Mohanlal in Akasha Gopuram and Kaveri respectively, so it was apparently a special occasion for them to be sharing screen with him again.
The group had a good time catching up on the sets in Hyderabad. 'Several crew members were Malayalis. So, they brought food from their homes for the actors, who then shared it among themselves. It was a mini-reunion of sorts,' explains the source.
The team will get together for the Korathala Siva directorial, which has NTR Jr playing the lead, for another schedule in June this year. Meanwhile, Mohanlal's previous Telugu-Malayalam bilingual Manamantha is currently in its post production stage. The movie also has Gauthami, Joy Mathew and Urvasi in pivotal roles.
