Body fished out of Sabarmati

The body of a 36-year-old man was fished out of Sabarmati River on April 17. Riverfront (W) police identified the victim as Vijay Parmar, a resident of Vadlavali Chali, Gomtipur. Parmar had jumped into the river before 10 pm on Sunday.
Police are yet to ascertain the reason for his suicide.
Chain snatched near Dharnidhar Derasar
A woman was robbed of her gold necklace worth Rs 40,000 near Dharnidhar Derasar.Complainant Kanchan Mistry, 52, a resident of Shaktinagar Society, KK Nagar, Ghatlodia, said a motorcycle-borne miscreant waylaid her, while she was riding pillion on a scooter with her husband, and sped away after snatching her necklace.
She has filed a complaint in this regard with Paldi police.
