Dalit row: Summons to Eflu Vice-chancellor

Hyderabad: Vice-chancellor of the English and Foreign Languages University (Eflu) Sunaina Singh has been asked to depose before the National Commission of Scheduled Castes on April 27 in New Delhi.
Students, along with the registrar, deputy proctor, the anti-discrimination officer and the dean of students' welfare, deposed before the commission on Monday over the alleged removal of a Dalit scholar, Koonal Duggal, on the birth anniversary celebrations of Dr BR Ambedkar on campus.
The SC/ST Teachers' Forum and the JAC for Social Justice from University of Hyderabad extended their solidarity to the Dalit PhD scholar.
