Discovery CEO David Zaslav will serve as keynote speaker at Variety’s annual Entertainment and Technology Summit in New York on May 5.

Since Zaslav assumed his executive post at Discovery Communications, the media company has expanded to reach 3 billion viewers worldwide.

Timbaland alongside production partner Jared Gutstadt, YouTube personality Tyler Oakley and statistician Nate Silver will also headline the event, which hosts discussions about trends in digital and entertainment marketing. Covering topics including film, TV, gaming, music and digital media, the summit serves as a networking opportunity for distinguished guests and speakers to discuss the latest technological innovations.

Variety will also invite “Watch What Happens Live” exec producer Deidre Connolly, CBS News anchor Josh Elliott, “Meet the Press” senior producer Shawna Thomas, as well as speakers from Discovery, American Express, Heineken, Citi, CBS, Showtime, Disney/ABC, Google, Samsung, Facebook and Conde Nast to join the conversation.

“We are proud of the caliber of speakers we have gathered for this year’s Entertainment and Technology Summit and are excited at the wealth of knowledge and experience that will be shared with those in attendance,” said Variety co-editor-in-chief Andrew Wallenstein, who will be moderating at the event, in a statement.

The Entertainment and Technology Summit will be held at NYC’s Intercontinental Barclay on May 5 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
