No dearth of Good Samaritans
Chhapra: Humanity stills exists for Ganga Mahto and Lakho Devi of village Basantpur under Dighwara police station area in Saran district.
When everything in their household perished in the devastating fire on April 12, just seven days before their daughter Aarti was to get married with Nitesh of Garahi-Malahi in Vaishali district on April 19, not only the villagers but the groom's family came forward with helping hands and everything is more than in a ready state for solemnizing the marriage on Tuesday.

"I was not in a position to reorganize anything for the marriage," said Ganga, who hails from a very humble background.
But, Nitesh's father Jhapasi Singh sent his younger brother to Ganga's house not only to express concern over the fire but with a message, "The marriage would be solemnized on the scheduled date and my son would go there as the bridegroom but won't accept any gift or hospitality."
However, the villagers and some Good Samaritans at Dighwara came forward and arranged everything for the marriage.
Amit, a social worker of Dighwara, said, "Local people generously donated items and preparations for the marriage have been made at a grand scale."
