Quicker and simpler way to apply new water supply account

PETALING JAYA: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) has introduced a quicker and simpler way for its customers to apply their new water supply account through online.
Syabas corporate communication chief Amin Lin Abdullah said applicants can simply go to Syabas's Online Customer Service Portal instead of having to go to the office manually.
"The process of applying for new water supply account had previously involved a considerable number of procedural steps, which require the customer to provide documentary evidence and submit it at Syabas office counters," he said.
"The application process has been considerably improved, reducing the number of forms and vastly speeding up the overall application process," he said in a statement.
He added the new system has been made especially easier for tenants as they do not need to provide documents from their owners to apply for a new account.
Amin said applicant for new account would still have to pay the stamp duty and refundable deposit.
