Ghana players abroad experienced a goal-drought weekend as no Ghanaian player scored in a recognized top-flight league across the globe.

But Samuel Inkoom and Daniel Opare were impressive performers in Germany and Turkey while Michael Essien and Jonathan Mensah continue to struggle at their respective clubs.

However there were two goals for youngster David Atanga in Austria while Johnathan Opoku also got on the score-sheet in the Netherlands.

NETHERLANDS
Marcel Appiah played in an attacking role for NEC Nijmegen in their 2-1 win over FC Cambuur.

Derrick Luckassen came off the AZ Alkmaar bench in the 75th minute to play in their 5-0 demolition of PEC Zwolle.

Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong was not in the FC Twente team that were held to a 1-1 draw by ten-man De Graafschap in the Eredivisie.

Divine Naah played 62 minutes for NAC Breda and helped them to a 5-2 win over Jong PSV Eindhoven. Naah is on loan from Manchester City.

Raymond Gyasi was not in the Emmen side that suffered a 4-1 defeat against Maastricht. Ghanaian-born Aruba international Erixon Danso played for Emmen.

Striker Johnathan Opoku scored the opening goal for VVV Venlo in their 4-1 triumph over Fortuna Sittard.

AUSTRIA
Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga scored brace for Liefering in their 3-1 win over Austria Klagenfurt. Neither Lawrence Ati-Zigi nor Raphael Dwamena was in the squad for the game.

BELGIUM
Nana Akwasi Asare was in full-time action for KAA Gent and helped them to a 2-0 win over KV Oostende.

Frank Acheampong returned from injury to play for Anderlecht in their 1-0 win over Club Brugge.

Meanwhile in the Europa League play-off, Ghana youth attacker Benjamin Tetteh played the last 18 minutes for Standard Liege in their 2-0 defeat at Mouscron Peruwelz.

Meanwhile at the Regenboogstadion, midfielder Bennard Kumordzi was introduced in the 89th minute by Genk who sneaked past Zulte-Waregem 2-1.

Still in the top-flight, Belgian-born Denis Odoi played for Lokeren in their 1-0 win over ten-man St Truiden.

Former Ghana U20 midfielder Asiedu Attobrah lost his place in the Kortrijk squad for their 3-2 away win over Waasland-Beveren.

In the second division, midfielder Eric Ocansey played the entire game for AS Eupen when they held Tubize to a 1-1 draw.

Midfielder Charles Ankomah played in midfielder for Lierse SK when they lost 2-1 against Geel.

Eugene Ansah helped Lommel United to a 2-0 win over FC Seraing. Striker Kwame Nsor was unused by the losers in the game.

William Owusu scored the equaliser for KSV Roeselare in their 1-1 draw with Gilloise.

CHINA
Striker Asamoah Gyan came off the bench to play the entire second half for Shanghai SPIG in their 1-0 in over Guangzhou R&F.

DENMARK
Young striker Godsway Donyoh was unused by Nordsjaelland in their 2-1 win over Hobro in the Danish top-flight.

ENGLAND
Jeffrey Schlupp came off the bench to win a penalty for Leicester City in their 2-2 draw with West Ham United. Daniel Amartey also played in the game.

Jordan Ayew was in full-time action for Aston Villa in their 1-0 loss at Manchester United on Saturday. The defeat has confirmed Villa's relegation from the English top-flight.

Andre Ayew was a full-timer for Swansea City as the Welsh side slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Newcastle United at the St James Park.

Defender Baba Rahman played the entire 90 minutes for ten-man Chelsea who were mauled 3-0 by Manchester City at the Stamford Bridge.

Winger Albert Adomah played for Middlesbrough in their 2-1win over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Former Liberty Professionals starlet Koby Arthur failed to make the Birmingham City squad for their 2-1 home loss against Burnley.

Elvis Manu failed to make the Brighton squad for their 5-0 hammering of Fulham in the Championship on Friday.

Elsewhere in the League One, former Arsenal goalkeeper Corey Addai warmed the Coventry City bench in their 2-1 win over Millwall.

Tariqe Fosu was introduced in the 73rd minute by Accrington Stanley who drew 2-2 with Morecombe Wanderers.

Derek Asamoah came off the Carlisle United bench to play in their 0-0 draw at Cambridge United.

But Crystal Palace Hiram Boateng played the entire 90minutes for Plymouth Argle when they won 2-1 at Portsmouth.

Elsewhere at the Adams Park, English-born Andy Yiadom scored the equaliser for Barnet in their 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers.

In the Youth League, former Dreams FC player Emmanuel Adjei Sowah played for  Anderlecht U19 in their 3-0 defeat Chelsea on Friday.

FRANCE
French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah played the entire game for Caen in their 6-0 defeat by champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah could not make the Lille squad for their 4-1 win over GFC Ajaccio.

Striker Majeed Waris came off the Lorient bench in the 64th minute to play in Les Merlus's 1-1 draw with Toulouse.

Suspended Emmanuel Ntim watched his Valenciennes side slipped to a 2-1 home defeat against Clermont Foot.

Beziers posted a 2-0 away win over ten-man Colmar. Midfielder Joachim Adukor was unused by the victors on the afternoon.

Suspended Charles Boateng missed Avranches's 2-0 defeat by Amiens on Friday.

GERMANY
Defender Daniel Opare held down his place in the Augsburg squad and played the full 90 minutes in their 1-0 win over visiting VfL Stuttgart.

Gideon Jung was unused Hamburg SV in their 3-0 battering at Dortmund on Sunday.

In the Bundesliga II, defender Davidson Drobo-Ampem was unused by St Pauli for their 2-0 win over Bochum.

Defender Jonathan Mensah continued his bench warming exercise at Anzhi when they lost 2-0 against FK Ufa.

Obeng Regan played 76 minutes for Cukaricki in their 3-1 win over FK Borac in the Super Liga.

LA Galaxy coasted to a 4-1 win over Houston Dynamo. Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng came off the bench to play for LA in the game.
