2 kids hurt in mishap, teen held for rash driving

Nagpur: Kush Verma (13) and Sahil Patel (11) sustained serious injuries after their cycle was hit by a rashly driven car on Central Bazar Mall on Sunday. The alleged culprit, aged 17-year-old, has been rounded up by Sitabuldi police following the mishap.
Sources said Verma and Patel, both residents of Kachipura, were thrown off their cycle after the teenager rammed his speeding car into them.
Verma is a student of standard VIII while Patel studies in standard VI. The duo had to be rushed to a xprivate hospital, where the two are recuperating.
The underage driver was allowed to appear for his examination at Dr Ambedkar College but was later taken into custody by police, who have registered an offence against him. Police are conducting investigations under the guidance of senior police officials.

An irate mob damaged vehicles of Parseoni police and some private trucks after two persons were killed and another seriously injured near Parsodi Phata on Sunday. The incident took place on Parseoni-Khaparkheda road. The angry protesters also targeted senior PI of Parseoni police station BM Gaigole, who was injured.
Police said a truck rammed into a bike on which three persons were travelling. Two of them, identified as Mangesh Surpakle and Shishupal Suryam, were killed while their fellow rider Arjun Eknath was injured. Another biker, who too rammed into the truck from behind, was also injured in the incident.
It’s learnt that the killer truck also rammed another bike after travelling some distance and injured two more. The angry villagers disrupted traffic on Khaparkheda-Parseoni road, targeting public vehicles and police vans.
